Matt Likins

Matt Likins, MPT, OCS Orthopedics/ Sports/ Spine Board Certified in Orthopedics

Matt Likins received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Physical Therapy from Oakland University. He has been practicing physical therapy since 1992.

Mr. Likins’ experience is focused in the area of orthopedic rehabilitation, with practice in a variety of settings, including inpatient orthopedics, home health care and outpatient rehab in both hospital and private based facilities. Mr. Likins achieved Board Certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1999.

Paul Jozefczyk 2006

Paul Jozefczyk, PT Orthopedics/ Sports/ Spine Manual Therapy

Paul Jozefczyk earned his degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 1987. Paul has extensive clinical experience in orthopedic, neurological, geriatric and sports physical therapy.

He has practiced in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, long term care, home care and outpatient care facilities. He has completed over 500 hours of advanced orthopedic physical therapy training within the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.

His advanced education includes the judicious use of manual therapy involving the spine and extremities with special emphasis on the rehab of injuries following motor vehicle accidents. Mr. Jozefczyk has served as a clinical instructor for several area universities and has been Chair of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Eastern District and a member of the MPTA Board of Directors.

Peter Kovacek 2006

Peter R. Kovacek, PT, MSA Geriatric Rehab

Peter Kovacek has vast experience in many areas of rehabilitation practice and management. As a clinician, Peter has been a skilled geriatric and cardiopulmonary physical therapist for 26 years.

Peter received his undergraduate degree (cum Laude) in Physical Therapy from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1977 and his Masters of Science in Administration (with an emphasis on health care marketing) from Central Michigan University in 1984. He has also been adjunct or part time faculty at Wayne State University and Oakland University since 1979 and has worked in many of the leading health care organizations in Southeastern Michigan.

Peter has been a member of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association Board of Directors, Vice President of the Acute Care Section of the American Physical Therapy Association and President of the Section on Administration of the APTA. Peter is currently the Vice President of the Michigan Physical Therapy Association.

Roman Kinal PT, CSCS

Roman Kinal is a physical therapist specializing in the field of orthopedic physical therapy. His areas of special interest include treatment of athletes competing in various levels of sports, shoulder and knee disorders resulting from acute or repetitive trauma, and cervical/lumbar disorders with functional or structural etiology.

Roman completed his education in physical therapy at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts in 1988. Since then, he has continued his education and has become proficient at various manual therapy techniques including McKenzie Institute certification for cervical and lumbar treatment, various joint and soft tissue mobilizations, and certification in strength and conditioning techniques. Roman has managed several hospital and out-patient therapy facilities over the past 17 years while working hands-on with patients in each of them.

He has lived in the Waterford/Clarkston area for over 10 years. He is involved in coaching youth hockey for the Lakeland Hockey Association and has coached Waterford Mott High School hockey for the past 5 years.

Dave Walters 2006

David Walters, PT, ATC Physical Therapist Orthopedic and Geriatric Rehab

David Walters, PT, ATC received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from Central Michigan University in 1989 with National Certification in Athletic Training. He received his Physical Therapy degree from Wayne State University in 1993.

David has had clinical experiences ranging from collegiate sports to orthopedic, neurological and geriatric rehabilitation in a wide range of settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics and rehab programs, David has extensive advanced orthopedic physical therapy training with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy including an extensive residency.

Orthopedic and Geriatric Rehab

Julie earned her degree in Physical Therapy from Wayne State University in 1988. Julie has clinical experience in orthopedics, geriatric, and neurological physical therapy. She has practiced in in the acute care setting, home care, rehabilitation and out patient care facilities and currently is primarily involved in geriatric care at our Pine Ridge clinics.

Cynthia Jackson

Cynthia graduated Summa cum Laude from the Wayne State University School of Physical Therapy in 1994.

Cindy brings twelve years of clinical experience in orthopedics, sports rehab, neurological and geriatric physical therapy.

She has practiced in outpatient care facilities, as well as, inpatient acute and rehabilitation settings.

Lydia Zielke OTR 2006

Lydia Zielke, OTR Occupational Therapy/Geriatric Rehab

Lydia Zielke earned her degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University in 1990. She has specialized in the care of geriatrics in a variety of settings including hospital, home care, rehab and outpatient/clinical care.

Lydia has worked at Harper Hospital, Bon Secours Home Heath and several other settings always providing outstanding care in geriatric rehabilitation. Lydia has been married for 12 years and has two lovely children – a son and a daughter. Her hobbies include reading, camping and tennis.

Bob Baker, PT

Bob Baker, PT

Robert Baker, PT is a 1975 graduate of the Physical Therapy program at Wayne State University. He has been a staff therapist at St. Mary's in Livonia and Holy Cross Hospital. After 5 years at Holy Cross, he left his position as the Director of Rehabilitation services to open his own practice in the Clinton Township area.

Robert has stayed in the private practice arena for over 26 years. He specializes in the treatment of head, neck and TMJ care. He has a special interest in lower back and generalized orthopedic conditions. He has taken many continuing education classes relating to various orthopedic conditions. Bob enjoys the constant learning and interaction with his patient population. After selling his practice, Bob joined 1st Choice Physical Therapy in 2006.

Noelle Fenske, PT

Noelle Fenske, PT

Noelle Fenske earned her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Regis University in Denver, Colorado in 2000. Since that time she has practiced in Colorado and Michigan. Her focus is outpatient orthopedic and neurological rehab, but she has experience in skilled nursing, hospital, and home health as well.

Her clinical training includes advanced manual physical therapy training with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), as well as vestibular, spine (neck and back), TMJ, headaches, chronic pain, pelvic pain and incontinence rehab. Noelle utilizes eclectic manual techniques and therapeutic exercise approaches, customized to each individual client's needs.
